The photo I have submitted was from the winning team on the 2010 Kiwanis rally. Lori and I had many good times with June -- and also my Father - together for many years. Lover of our furry friends - we shared so many photos together of cats doing amusing things. So many moments shared. Our condolences to June's family. The Powell family also extend their sincere condolences.

So many happy times shared with June. Among so many, I recall our visits to Cuba where we met with the Reformed Presbyterian Church there. Looking out from a hotel along the Malecon there as the body of Che Guevara passed (cheering school children, all wearing red bandanas, lined both sides of the street as far as we could see. Later we visited his memorial in Santa Clara.

Later, and closer to home, visiting Saint Sauveur here in the Laurentians where she had spent childhood summers -- "See, this is the corner where I fell off my skates and scraped my knees -- still steep and there is still a crack in the sidewalk that caught me way back then."

A good person and a great editor. Devoted to church and family.
