I met Dave down at the Conant Seniors Ukulele Jam and then got to know him a little more when I joined him with Ron and Annette in the 'Reminiscers' band. I will remember him for his gentleness, sense of humour and his lovely voice.

The last song he did with us was at the Conant Seniors and he sang it perfectly, the beauty of his voice came through. I had intended to tell him that as we packed up and left but missed the opportunity, but I didn't worry as I knew I would see him at the next practice. Sadly, it was not to be.

So I am telling him now. Thanks Dave, I will remember that song for ever.
I share it with you now.

'Til We Meet Again

Smile the while you kiss me sad adieu
When the clouds roll by I'll come to you
Then the skies will seem more blue
Down in Lover's Lane, my dearie

Wedding bells will ring so merrily
Ev'ry tear will be a memory
So wait and pray each night for me
Till we meet again

Condolences to Dave's Family and friends, I know we will all miss him very much.

Sing to the Angels Dave, You'll get a better spot!

David was a well liked member of our seniors woodcarving group at the Conant Centre, Oshawa. He carved with us for 19 years: both in Whitby and Oshawa. We enjoyed his kind and considerate attitude, his subtle but dry wit, his openness in conversation. I will miss his presence at our weekly carving sessions.
